New York, New York – September xx, 2008 – MTV teams up with entertainment powerhouse Sean Combs and revolutionary, Emmy Award winning producer Mark Burnett for the brand new reality series "StarMaker." The new series will set out to find the next history making superstars. MTV and Sean Combs have been developing "StarMaker" since fall of ’07 and made the decision to bring Mark Burnett on board this spring. "StarMaker" is greenlit for January 2009. "StarMaker" will showcase aspiring solo artists who will compete with the added pressure of living together.

In the new series Sean Combs will continue to do what he does best on the hit series "Making The Band," spot the best talent while pushing them to their limits. But in this new format both men and women will be competing as individuals for the top spot. Sean Combs’ hand picked team of star makers will put them through the rigors of "StarMaker" boot camp which extends well beyond just a contestant’s ability to sing.

In addition to having to perform in front of an audience each week the contestants will be tested on how well they handle photo shoots, deal with paparazzi, physically perform on stage and more. Bad Boy/Wondaland Arts Society recording artist Janelle Monáe has revealed details of her hugely anticipated new collection, “METROPOLIS: THE CHASE SUITE (SPECIAL EDITION).” The innovative, genre-blurring set will arrive in stores and online on Tuesday, August 12th.

A charismatic singer, songwriter, producer, and performer, Monáe’s ground-breaking style crosses musical genres in a captivating postmodern merging of soul, funk, and rock ‘n’ roll. “THE CHASE SUITE (SPECIAL EDITION)” sees the Atlanta-based artist continuing the epic musical journey of her android alter ego, Cindi Mayweather, as she traverses a sci-fi inspired world of cybersoul. “THE CHASE SUITE” – co-executive produced by Antwan “Big Boi” Patton – follows “METROPOLIS: SUITE I OF IV,” which was released last year to pervasive critical applause. A full-length debut album is slated for release in early 2009.

Monáe will be prominently featured at all digital music stores throughout the month of August. The iTunes Store will offer a “Fantastic Edition” of “THE CHASE SUITE” featuring a variety of bonus content. Bad Boy Records has announced the upcoming release of “JUST A ROLLING STONE,” the eagerly awaited debut album from Donnie Klang. The album, which is highlighted by the new single, “Take You There (Feat. P. Diddy),” lands in stores and at all digital retailers on September 2nd.

“JUST A ROLLING STONE” arrives one year after Klang received his Bad Boy solo contract from P. Diddy during the blockbuster season finale of MTV’s hit reality series, Making The Band 4. What’s more, the album comes hot on the heels of MTB4’s highly anticipated third season, set to premiere in August. The new season chronicles the making of the album, as well as the hugely successful “P. I refused to preview any of his music after being told how dope he was and that he performed with a live band. I figured sight unseen, if he was really that good, he'd have me at 'One, two, one, two.' Sure enough, I left that set open. Blitz embodies everything to love about hip-hop that the media never talks about: thoughtful prose, unbridled energy, complete mastery of a crowd and a sense of boyish glee that he really couldn't be happier doing anything else. He even got in on the solar-powered fun when he took a minute to shout out the now hidden sun. I don't think any rapper could have sounded so convincingly un-corny thanking Mother Nature (except maybe Ghostface), but Blitz had me believing he could do anything. There were signs of a heavy Black Thought influence from a couple "Web"-like verses over sparse beats, his repeated acknowledgements of his band ("You are now rockin' with the Almighty Embassy Ensemble") and a little singing thrown in for good measure. His horn section added to the orchestral, cosmic vibe under the muggy night sky as Blitz closed his set with "Remembering the Future": "I am who I am/you can never change me/Reaching for the sun/Remembering the future."

Diddy and MTV Presents Making The Band 4 – The Tour” will take off on May 24th at Orlando, Florida’s Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre, then travel the country through mid-June, hitting such major markets as Miami, New York, Detroit, Chicago, and Las Vegas (see attached itinerary). The tour will culminate on June 9th and 10th with an eagerly awaited two-night-stand at Los Angeles ’ historic Wiltern Theatre.

Pre-sale tickets for “P. Diddy and MTV Presents Making The Band 4 – The Tour” will be available on Thursday, April 17th via the official Bad Boy Records website, www.badboyonline.com. All remaining tickets will then go on sale to the general public on Saturday, April 19th.

P. Diddy officially announced the tour to the world on Tuesday, April 15th with an appearance on MTV’s TRL. “A true entertainer is versatile and makes music for the world,” says Jamaica-native Elephant Man, dubbed The Energy God by fans because of his high energy stage performances. Harve Pierre has been named President of Bad Boy Records, it was announced today by Bad Boy Entertainment founder and CEO Sean “P Diddy” Combs. Pierre will continue to report directly to Combs, and as President, he will oversee the finance, creative, promotional, marketing, A&R, International, and Sales divisions at the label. In addition, his Crazy Joint production imprint will develop artists and projects for the Bad Boy label. Bad Boy Records is a worldwide joint venture between Bad Boy Worldwide Entertainment Group and Warner Music Group.

Pierre, who initially joined Bad Boy upon its inception in 1993, was most recently the label’s Executive Vice President/General Manager/Vice President of A&R. Having literally advanced from intern to President, he has personal, hands-on experience in virtually every area of record company operations. With a career spanning over 20 years, Pierre has evolved into one of the most accomplished members of the new generation of music executives whose work integrates both the creative and business spheres. In addition to his role as senior label executive and A&R head, his numerous creative credits include executive producer, vocal and music producer, artist, songwriter, video director, editor, and TV cast member.

Pierre has worked closely with dozens of artists, among them P Diddy, Notorious B.I.G., SWV, Faith Evans, Cheri Dennis, Total, Mario Winans, The Lox, 112, Shyne, Method Man, Boyz N Da Hood, B5, Cassie, Danity Kane, Yung Joc, Tyrese, Black Rob, Gorilla Zoe, Elephant Man, New Edition, and many more. He has served as Executive Producer on 50 Bad Boy albums, plus 5 projects during a 2-year stint with RCA Records.

Harve first met fellow New Yorker Sean “P Diddy” Combs at Howard University in Washington D.C., where the two students promoted campus parties, both together and separately. When Combs began to shuttle between D.C. and New York City to intern at Uptown Records, Pierre remained at Howard, earning a degree in Business and Hospitality Management. Following graduation, he worked in hotel management and owned his own restaurant.

In 1992, Harve returned to his first love, music, when he joined P Diddy at Uptown, where Combs had become the label’s VP of A&R. He started out as an intern for his college buddy, setting up studio sessions for the likes of Mary J. Blige and Jodeci. When P Diddy was notoriously fired from his Uptown post, Harve left with him to help launch Bad Boy Entertainment. Starting out as P Diddy’s assistant, he was quickly promoted to Director of A&R, overseeing the production of Craig Mack’s Project: Funk Da World, among other projects.

In 1995, Harve left Bad Boy to broaden his experience in the music industry. He became Associate Director of Black Music at RCA Records, giving him invaluable major label experience. In 1997, with hit albums from SWV, Rome, and Shante Savage under his belt, Harve returned to his home, Bad Boy.

Back at Bad Boy, Harve advanced from Vice President of A&R to Senior Vice President in 1999 and Executive Vice President/General Manager in 2003, all the while retaining his role as head of A&R. In 2002, when Bad Boy inked a deal with MTV, Harve made his television debut when he was cast in the hit show, Making The Band 2, for two seasons.

Pierre has also earned a reputation as an innovative video director and editor, pioneering a number of video techniques. Among his video credits are serving as director of “Dead Wrong” for the Notorious B.I.G. and “Special Delivery” for G-Dep, as well as editing most of director Hype Williams’ earlier work. Pierre has edited 35 music videos to date which includes “Victory” for P Diddy featuring Notorious B.I.G., “One More Chance” for the Notorious B.I.G., OutKast’s breakthrough first video, “Playalistic,” and “Flava In Ya Ear” by Craig Mack – the first artist and #1 smash single released by Bad Boy. Among his recent work, Pierre edited the chart-topping videos for Block Ent’s Yung Joc smash singles, the #1, Grammy-nominated “It’s Goin’ Down” and “I Know You See It,” just to name a few.

Pierre has also started building his Crazy Joint imprint, to be distributed by Bad Boy/Atlantic Records beginning in May 2008.

Bad Boy Records has announced the upcoming release of three new albums from the stars of the hit MTV reality series, Making The Band. The news comes as the highly rated series kicks off its latest season, beginning tonight, January 28th at 10pm ET/PT (check local listings).

Making The Band 4, Season 2 will feature previous MTB sensations Danity Kane, along with last year's as-yet-unnamed quintet and additional MTB4 finalist Donnie Klang. The upcoming season will see all three acts living together as they work to complete new albums, which will then be released in the weeks to follow. The releases kick off on March 11th, with the arrival the MTB4 quintet's hotly anticipated debut album. The following week will see Danity Kane rolling out their eagerly awaited second album, due in stores on March 18th. Finally, Klang is set to unveil his currently in-the-works debut later this spring. All three collections are Executive Produced by Bad Boy CEO Sean "Diddy" Combs and Bad Boy Entertainment president Harve Pierre.

The albums will be heralded with two brand-new singles from Danity Kane and the MTB4 quintet, both set to drop at all online retailers on Tuesday, January 29th - the day after the season premiere. Danity Kane's "Damaged" sees the RIAA platinum-certified girl group joining forces with the up-and-coming production team, Stereotypes, known for their hit collaborations with such artists as Cupid, Ne-Yo, and Omarion. "Got Me Going," the second single from the talented MTB4 performers, was produced by the one-and-only Mario Winans, a longtime Bad Boy family member, famed for his work with Diddy and The Notorious B.I.G., not to mention Destiny's Child, Mary J. Blige, Keyshia Cole, and countless others.

"Got Me Going" will proclaim the as-yet-untitled debut album from Brian Andrews, Mike McCluney, Qwanell Mosley (aka "Q"), Robert Curry, and Willie Taylor - the five talented artists chosen by Diddy and MTV viewers around the world on the blockbuster Making The Band 4 finale last September. MTV's hit reality series Making The Band 4 returns for another exciting season on Monday, January 28, 2008 at 10pm ET/PT. The new band hand-picked by Diddy reunite along with the surprise solo winner Donnie to begin their journey in the music industry. But there's a new twist...

The full season of the previous Making The Band 4 ranked #1 in its regular time period (Mon 10-11pm) among F12-34 versus all cable competition, reaching over 61.1 million total viewers (P2+), with over 32.4 million from our P12-34 core. The live season finale of Making The Band 4 earned a 3.19 rating and reached over 5.1 million viewers (P2+). The Making The Band 4 Live Finale was the most watched telecast for the night (Sun 8-11pm) across all of television, even over-delivering the broadcast networks.

High net-worth American consumers ranked Ciroc vodka as one of the top three premium vodkas in the 2008 Luxury Brand Status Index (LBSI) survey from the independent New York based Luxury Institute. Grey Goose and Jewel of Russia were among the other top three premium vodkas.

Bad Boy recording artist Cheri Dennis has unveiled details of her eagerly awaited debut album, "IN AND OUT OF LOVE." The collection - which includes last year's breakthrough single, "I Love You" - will be released digitally on the iTunes Store (www.itunes.com) on Tuesday, November 13th - a full three months before its physical release hits stores on February 26th, 2008. "IN AND OUT OF LOVE" marks the first-ever major label R&B album to receive a three month digital exclusive release via iTunes.
iTunes' exclusive release of "IN AND OUT OF LOVE" is heralded by the selection of the Rodney Jerkins-produced album track, "Remind You," as the iTunes Store's "Single of the Week," beginning Tuesday, November 6th.

"HUSTLENOMICS," the hugely anticipated second album from Block Entertainment/Bad Boy South recording artist Yung Joc, makes a triumphant debut on this week's charts - coming in at #1 on Billboard's "Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums" and "Top Rap Albums" charts. What's more, the collection - which features the current hit single, "Coffee
Shop (Feat. Gorilla Zoe)" - arrives at #3 on the Billboard 200.

The Grammy Award-nominated rapper celebrated last Tuesday's release of "HUSTLENOMICS" with a hometown in-store appearance at Best Buy's Morrow, Georgia location. The autograph session proved a huge success, with Yung Joc signing copies of the album for hundreds of fans and friends.

"Coffee Shop (Feat. Gorilla Zoe)" is undoubtedly one of the summer's biggest hip-hop hits. The track has bulleted into the top 30 at Urban radio outlets and into the top 20 on the Rap charts, while also scoring major airplay at Rhythmic stations.

The song's companion video - directed by Lenny Bass (Boyz N Da Hood, Field Mob, Nappy Roots) - is currently the week's #1 "Most Played" clip on BET, following its network debut via a special installment of Access Granted earlier this summer. The clip is also a current rotation favorite at MTV2, MTV Jams, MTV Hits, Fuse, and Music Choice.
"Bottle Poppin' (Feat. Gorilla Zoe)," the follow-up single from "HUSTLENOMICS," recently arrived at multi-format radio outlets across the country. A companion video is now in production, with its premiere slated in the coming weeks.

Following up on the blockbuster success of last year's RIAA platinum-certified debut album, "NEW JOC CITY," "HUSTLENOMICS" confirms Joc's status as one of today's most ingenious and accomplished hip-hop artists. The album sees the 24-year-old MC collaborating with a who's-who of studio stars, including the Neptunes, Chris Flash, Cool & Dre, Jazze Pha, Kevin "Khao" Cates, Drumma Boy, Dee Jay Dana, and others. Along with the aforementioned Boyz N Da Hood member Gorilla Zoe, Joc is also joined by a series of special guests, including Russell "Block" Spencer, Diddy, The Game, Snoop Dogg, Trick Daddy, Bun B, Rick Ross, Jim Jones, Young Dro, and Pharrell.

"This album shows growth and maturity," says Joc. "I'm just expressing myself with different types of songs and different types of flows. A lot of cats think once you get on you get to make money, do shows, go to all the parties, and all this. There's a lot more to it than that."

In addition to its CD and digital release, "HUSTLENOMICS" marks Bad Boy Records' first-ever release in the new MVI format. An MVI is a DVD that contains the full album, portable music files, video content, and interactive features. The PC/MAC-compatible package includes a bonus CD, a never-before-seen video interview with Joc, exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, a making-the-video special for "Coffee Shop," digital extras (such as screen savers, buddy icons, and wallpapers), U-Myx and UrTone (which allow fans to create their own custom remix and ringtone of "Coffee Shop"), plus much more.

Yung Joc spent his summer preparing the way for "HUSTLENOMICS" by joining the all-star bill for BET and Scream Star Entertainment's "Screamfest '07." The tour - which
also featured such superstars as T.I., Ciara, and T-Pain - wrapped up this past weekend with a packed-out two-night-stand at Los Angeles' Gibson Amphitheatre.

What's more, the ATL-based MC made number of major TV appearances celebrating the new album's release. Among the highlights were visits to BET's 106th & Park, ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live, and both MTV's TRL and Making The Band 4. Other recent TV spots include multiple appearances on BET (including Rap City, the annual BET Music Awards, and 106 & Park's "Scream Tour" Special), and NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Later this month, Joc is headed across the Atlantic for the UK's influential MOBO Awards 2007, where he will team up onstage with T-Pain on his #1 hip-hop smash, "Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin')." The blockbuster track has also just received a "Song of the Year" nomination from the upcoming VH1 Soul Vibe Awards, with star-studded ceremonies scheduled for a November 14th premiere on VH1 Soul (check local listings).

The release of "HUSTLENOMICS" follows Yung Joc's amazing 2006, a year which saw him rise up from the streets of College Park, Georgia to the platinum-certified heights of hip-hop stardom. Fueled by the massive hit single, "It's Goin' Down," the rapper's RIAA platinum-certified debut album, "NEW JOC CITY," exploded onto Billboard's "Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums" and "Top Rap Albums" charts, entering in the #1 spot upon its June release.

"It's Goin' Down" proved to be a mainstream breakthrough for Yung Joc, moving quickly from underground sensation to the top of Billboard's "Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs" chart and the top 3 on Billboard's "Hot 100." In early 2007, the track received one of music's highest accolades - a Grammy Awards nomination as "Best Rap Song."

The street anthem's companion video also proved a blockbuster, topping the playlist at BET, which named "It's Going Down" as "Hip-Hop Track of the Year" at the inaugural BET Hip-Hop Awards event. At MTV, the clip scored Big Ten rotation and was ranked as one of MTV2's "Top 100 Sucker Free Videos of 2006."

Furthermore, "It's Goin' Down" was an out-and-out triumph in the ringtone world. With over 5 million ringtones sold, Yung Joc was Warner Music Group's #1 mobile artist for 2006.

Yung Joc also reigned over the online world, spending much of summer 2006 as MySpace's #1 artist. He also became an in-demand live act, with concert appearances including a sold-out MySpace Secret Show in his native Atlanta, an SRO tour alongside Grand Hustle/Atlantic recording artist T.I., and a top spot on the "Scream Tour 5," BET's hugely successful multi-artist arena trek. Other onstage highlights included a performance of "It's Goin' Down," during the main event ring walk at Don King's Gateway to Glory boxing event in St. Louis and an appearance on BET's annual 106 & Park New Year's Eve extravaganza.

As if all that weren't enough, Yung Joc made guest appearances on a number of the year's biggest tracks, including Danity Kane's top 10 smash, "Show Stopper," and Lil' Boosie's top 20 hip-hop hit, "Zoom."

Yung Joc can currently be seen in a major national print ad campaign promoting the Rockport Company's "Established 1971" collection. The promotion sees Yung Joc appearing in a variety of high-profile magazines alongside such rising stars as actor Wood Harris, R&B artist Lyfe Jennings, and MTV personality Coltrane Curtis.
