DONNIE KLANG UNVEILS LONG-AWAITED BAD BOY DEBUT

DONNIE KLANG UNVEILS LONG-AWAITED BAD BOY DEBUT:

“JUST A ROLLING STONE” HIGHLIGHTED BY FIRST HIT SINGLE,

“TAKE YOU THERE (FEAT. P. DIDDY)”;

ALBUM ARRIVES JUST IN TIME FOR NEW SEASON OF

MTV’S MAKING THE BAND 4;

“JUST A ROLLING STONE” DROPS SEPTEMBER 2ND

Bad Boy Records has announced the upcoming release of “JUST A ROLLING STONE,” the eagerly awaited debut album from Donnie Klang. The album, which is highlighted by the new single, “Take You There (Feat. P. Diddy),” lands in stores and at all digital retailers on September 2nd.

“JUST A ROLLING STONE” arrives one year after Klang received his Bad Boy solo contract from P. Diddy during the blockbuster season finale of MTV’s hit reality series, Making The Band 4. What’s more, the album comes hot on the heels of MTB4’s highly anticipated third season, set to premiere in August. The new season chronicles the making of the album, as well as the hugely successful “P. Diddy and MTV Presents Making The Band 4 – The Tour,” which saw Klang sharing a bill with MTB4’s two #1-selling superstar groups, Danity Kane and Day26.

Making The Band 4 has proven to be one of MTV’s most enduring successes, with its most recent season reaching over 55 million viewers. In addition, Making The Band 4 has consistently ranked among the top shows on MTV.com, delivering over 10 million streams and attracting nearly 2.7 million visits to the MTB4 show area.

“Take You There (Feat. P. Diddy)” has just begun scoring major airplay at multi-format radio outlets nationwide, including Urban, Rhythmic, and CHR/Top 40. The single’s companion video – directed by Ray Kay (Destiny’s Child, Cassie, Beyonce) – will have its world television premiere on the August 8th installment of MTV’s new smash series, FNMTV (check local listings). Earlier this year, Klang performed “Take You There” live on the second season finale of Making The Band 4.

“JUST A ROLLING STONE” sees Klang collaborating with many of the same producers behind the two previous #1-selling MTB4 releases, Danity Kane’s RIAA gold-certified “WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE,” and the self-titled debut from Day26. Among the studio superstars teaming up with the Long Island , NY-based singer are Seven (Mariah Carey, Ja Rule), Danja (Britney Spears, Madonna), Bryan-Michael Cox (Usher, Mary J. Blige), and The-Dream (Chris Brown, Rihanna). “JUST A ROLLING STONE” is Executive Produced by Bad Boy CEO Sean “P. Diddy” Combs and Bad Boy Entertainment President Harve Pierre.

Klang will herald the release of “JUST A ROLLING STONE” with a nationwide radio promo tour, beginning in late July. In addition, he will be headlining Seventeen magazine’s “Rock The Runway,” an upcoming series of mall events featuring a fashion show, model call, and live concert. The events will hit such markets as Los Angeles , Denver , Detroit , Philadelphia , and Charlotte through November. Furthermore, Klang will be starring as the face of luxury street style retailer DJPremium.com in their Fall 2008 advertorial campaign alongside Atlantic recording artist Bayje.

Blitz The Ambassador @ Joe's Pub This Saturday

Fresh off of headlining New York's City Solar Powered Festival, Blitz the Ambassador returns to the stage this saturday night at the historic Joe's Pub in New York City! www.myspace.com/blitztheambassador Please let me know if you would like to be added to the guest list! Heres what Okayplayer.com had to say about his City Sol performance: http://www.okayplayer.com/content/view/5997/60/The next performer (at The City Sol Festival)was Brooklyn (by way of Ghana) rapper, Blitz the Ambassador, the real reason I even attempted to stand in the rain for a free concert. I refused to preview any of his music after being told how dope he was and that he performed with a live band. I figured sight unseen, if he was really that good, he'd have me at 'One, two, one, two.' Sure enough, I left that set open. Blitz embodies everything to love about hip-hop that the media never talks about: thoughtful prose, unbridled energy, complete mastery of a crowd and a sense of boyish glee that he really couldn't be happier doing anything else. He even got in on the solar-powered fun when he took a minute to shout out the now hidden sun. I don't think any rapper could have sounded so convincingly un-corny thanking Mother Nature (except maybe Ghostface), but Blitz had me believing he could do anything. There were signs of a heavy Black Thought influence from a couple "Web"-like verses over sparse beats, his repeated acknowledgements of his band ("You are now rockin' with the Almighty Embassy Ensemble") and a little singing thrown in for good measure. His horn section added to the orchestral, cosmic vibe under the muggy night sky as Blitz closed his set with "Remembering the Future": "I am who I am/you can never change me/Reaching for the sun/Remembering the future."
